Test task on java without using spring boot

I have already complete test of basic knowledge of Java in IT-company. Recently I was introduced test task, in which i have create some entity, using maven, spring, hibernate and spring, but without spring boot, I couldn't find any results of guide, how it's possible to do. Can someone help?
